Finding Moments of Freedom & Love

Dearest Friends,

The Inner Christmas Journey offers a path of inner attention that opens you up, releases attachments, inspires new awareness, and encourages worthy intentions. The Inner Christmas Journey is not a set of laws, or rules, or requirements. It is a series of inspired prompts and empowering suggestions. The Journey celebrates and honors and enlivens your humanity and your individuality.

Here are the two most meaningful reasons to take the entire Inner Christmas Journey: Freedom and Love. These two expression of Spirit are the core goal of our inner development.

The purest presence and expression of Spirit, of Divinity in an individual soul is two-fold. Freedom and Love together live in the Spirit of Self.

Freedom from the limiting image of the personal self that comes from identifications with sympathies, senses and stories, and

Love of all others free of desires for and arousals from sympathies, senses and stories.

If you wonder who you are beyond your identities, your likes and dislikes, your senses and your stories, I can assure you, you are Freedom and Love. Our identities, sympathies, senses and stories limit, maybe even deny our Freedom and our Love. They personalize both, when both Freedom and Love are universal and cosmic. Both are full of the glory of the selfless Self.

Here is a brief imagination of how Freedom and Love arise through The Inner Christmas Journey...

INNER ADVENT

Through Inner Advent and the recollection, reflection and review of your identities, sympathies, senses and stories of 2020, you may experience simple moments of Freedom and Love. You observe yourself and your life from greater and greater distances and purposes. You possess your year of identities, etc. so you can let it go and perceive your moral and spiritual development. You wake up to your Being-ness, your “I” — just for a moment full of grace.

All we need is a moment of knowing Freedom and Love to transform our existence, how we relate to others, to the World, to the future and to ourselves.

THE HOLY NIGHTS

With a mere moment of Freedom and Love, we can enter into the Holy Nights able to meet the Beings of the Spiritual World at the Edge where earthly existence and spiritual realities come together. At this Edge, we receive inspirations for our personal growth and for our understanding of our times and the coming year.

The Messages of Inner Christmas 2020/21 will bring twelve thoughts on the Dance of Differences for you to contemplate. Our times have brought the War of Differences painfully into our souls. This is why we need to enter the Holy Nights with a moment-seed of Freedom and Love living in our souls. It is only within a tenderly illuminated soul space that we can individually imagine transforming a war into a dance. Imagine having the Freedom and Love to meet all friends, enemies, and strangers ready to engage in the sacred dance of differences. This would be a dance free of submission or domination and free of hatred and fear.

INNER EPIPHANY

Then with this imagination, we can each recognize the Freedom and Love living in the personal possibilities of 2021 through the lens of Inner Epiphany. Inner Epiphany is all about recognizing, healing and empowering the process of becoming new, becoming you, becoming the future. We find our own forces for good reflecting the epiphanies living in the life of Jesus Christ. We can imagine a new choreography for our year of meeting the differences of others and revealing our uniqueness with inner equanimity.

The Inner Christmas Journey may not change your daily life but it will nurture and cultivate your inner life. You will know yourself in new ways and see others in new ways. Freedom and Love will begin to glimmer in how you evolve through your days and nights.

Your Inner Christmas Objections

Inner development and self-reflection usually move to the bottom of our list of spiritual to-dos. Many often think it is more important to read spiritual books and spend time meditating believing these sacred activities will take away the spiritual task of self-knowledge.

In my decades of spiritual research and spiritual mentoring I have become certain that our devotion to know ourselves, our karma and our destiny, with inner authenticity brings joy to our angels.

I thought I would respond to some familiar objections to The Inner Christmas Journey...

Not enough time. I get this. December can be a busy time of year. Yes, Inner Advent will need about four hours to listen to the audios once, but just one listening will give you a sense of your year. To apply the suggested exercises may lead you into some deep attention but there is no need to be perfect. If you are a teacher, give yourself this time after classes have ended for the holiday. During the Holy Nights, the Inner Christmas Messages only take a couple of minutes to read and another few minutes to contemplate. Inner Epiphany will take an hour or two for each lesson and can be spread over a few weeks. Give yourself these Inner Christmas hours of self-love.
Not enough money. Don’t hesitate to ask for a discount. I am always happy to give a discount. Tell me what you can afford. I want you to experience the entire Inner Christmas Journey: Inner Advent, the Messages, and Inner Epiphany. Going on this inner journey will make 2021 far more meaningful.
You have been devastated by 2020 and don’t want to recollect your year. It’s been a nightmare. You just want it all to be over. You don’t want to think too deeply about 2021, even looking at your spiritual needs for the coming year through the four lenses of Inner Epiphany feels too much. All you can do is hope. The Inner Christmas Journey gives you inner strength and restores trust in yourself and the future.
Your are spiritual and not religious and Inner Christmas sounds too Christian. Or you're a devoted Christian and you feel this Christmas Journey breaks dramatically with the Christian beliefs and traditions. Well, what can I say. The Inner Christmas Journey is esoteric, inner, and creative. It is about discovery and freedom and love. It does not conflict with any aspect of the New Testament, nor does it preach…it asks you to imagine.
You are not interested in Inner Advent as you are committed to the traditional or Waldorf approach to the Four Sundays and feel Advent is about preparation for Christmas. You feel focusing on yourself would be egotistical and not spiritual. Please listen to “A Beautiful Preparation” where I share the origins of Advent and both the traditional and the Waldorf rituals.
You have been working with the Inner Christmas Messages for several years and haven’t felt the need to prepare for them with Inner Advent. Inner Epiphany is really new and you don’t quite understand its purpose. You are inspired by the Holy Nights and they are enough for you. The entire Journey will bring new heights and more grounding to your experience of the Holy Nights and the messages.
You journal frequently and will reread your 2020 journalling at the end of the month and remember. You will journal through the Holy Nights with whatever comes to you. ... Personal journalling is a wonderful practice but it is personal. The Inner Christmas Journey helps you move your personal reflections to a higher resonance with Selfhood. It guides you to question what you have written and relate to your journalling with creativity. The prompts and suggestions support your inner development.
On New Year’s Day, you write your resolutions for the coming year. Maybe, you have been choosing three words as the inspiration and focus. (I love this exercise.) ...Inner Epiphany will take you into the heart of your will to shape a year that meets your needs to fulfill your destiny…it's not a list of intentions or words.
You think you need to be super-spiritual to “succeed” on this esoteric journey of Inner Christmas. Nope! Sure, it takes a little/lot of courage but it also takes a little/lot of humor. (The Gods resonate with our laughter. Knowing yourself, being open to the weird feeling that during 12 nights you might be actually connecting with angels, and then feeling you can experience your own unique epiphanies and fulfill your personal purpose for 2021, can seem too much. The Journey is only about steps and moments, not about leaps, transformations, or perfection.
Or maybe you just keep forgetting to enroll. Here I am reminding you.
