Twelve Acts of Kindness:
Imagine the Kindness of Protecting

How do we protect what needs to flourish?

What needs to flourish in you?  Take your time reflecting because you want to be specific. You might want to ask others what they see in you that needs to flourish. Ask them to be specific.

We also need to go through the same process on what IS flourishing.

Then look at what was once flourishing and is now languishing.

Distinguish between languishing and resting.  A leafless tree in winter is not languishing, it is resting.  When we rest, our activity is invisible to our senses as it is taking place in the spiritual world.

What is so wonderful about the Holy Nights is the gift of sensing the invisible flourishing that occurs when we are resting/sleeping.  This sensing may be acute and articulate in some cases but usually its more a vague perception.  If you notice a vague perception, this is when you share with another who is wise or innocent. When you attempt to articulate the spiritually vague, often you will be surprised by what you say.  Don’t hesitate…hesitation is so hard for the angels to penetrate.

Languishing is present when you cannot feel safe, calm, awake, or nourished in any area of your life: spiritual, practical, personal.  If your gift of self has little light shining, little warmth radiating, so resounding tone, and only minimal force, it is languishing.

THE MYSTERIES OF PROTECTION

On this Holy Night, let us reflect on the forms of protection.

My online thesaurus offers these words…

keep safe, keep from harm, save, safeguard, preserve, defend, shield, cushion, insulate, hedge, shelter, screen, secure, fortify, guard, watch over, look after, take care of, keep.

Using each of these synonyms reflect on…

What protects Safety? Calmness? Wakefulness? Nourishment?

What do you need to feel safe? To feel calm? To feel awake? To feel nourished?  Do you need to feel there is a shield, a cushion, a shelter? Do you need to be fortified, guarded, saved?  Do the work to define your need for protection.

What protects Light? Warmth? Tone? Force?

What do you need to sustain your light? Your warmth? Your tone/resonance? Your force/energy?

Are you willing to receive protection? Are you willing to protect other’s needs?  Can you protect others if you are not being protected yourself?

I am going to leave you with these questions.  They are extraordinarily important.  Your angel wants your answers.
