At Home with Gardens

Describe being at home with the gardens of your soul. How do they express the beauty of your nature? How do they provide nourishment for your sense of self? Your gardens are where you go to grow and dream.

As you walk through your gardens with your spiritual companion converse about how you have designed these gardens.  Yes, these gardens have been designed by you for you.  You have cultivated the soil, chosen what and where to plant.  Share why this thought blooms next to this feeling. Reveal your plans for future gardens. Talk about seeds, roots, leaves, buds, blooms, fruits. 

Don't forget to show your companion your compost bins, your gardening tools, and the thoughtful way you prune and weed.

Do you have a greenhouse where you carefully nurture tender seedlings of selfhood?

Do you have a wild garden full of surprises: mysterious thoughts, wondrous feelings, thorns, scents, colors and forms?

You may find your spiritual companion begins to sing and dance in your gardens. Join in this mood of delight.

You might want to ask your spiritual companion to sit with you while you do a simple sketch of your gardens and make your plans for how you want them to evolve in the coming seasons.

I hope you spend lots of time in the gardens of your soul, working, playing, contemplating and growing.
