7th Holy Night: Encountering Thou as Party-Giver
Published: Tue, 12/31/13

How do we define a party? A gathering or feast designed for fun, pleasure, and engagement with a variety of people and activities.
From a reverent perspective the Holy Nights are the greatest spiritual gathering and feast of the year. During the Holy Nights we get to show up and engage with the beings of the Spiritual World. We get to taste the rare delicacies of Creation, Love, Eternity, Equanimity, Freedom, Compassion, etc. The bubbly that pours forth quenches our thirst for imaginations of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. Just take a few minutes and imagine the Holy Nights as the spiritual event of the year - the great and glorious consciousness-freeing gathering of the human and the Divine. And a time of breaking the rules of earthly limitations.
Now throughout the years of our lifetimes, we encounter an experience of a Thou that invites us to a version of this Sublime and Profound party.
The Thou as party-giver knows how to create a gathering or feast of meanings, significances and purposes and warmly invites you to engage with enthusiasm and delight.
Do you ever experience a conversation between the Thou of the other and your unfolding I Am - just the two of you it seems...and suddenly feel that the space has become a joyful gathering of beings of Spirit?
I think of a dear friend I would visit often years ago. Whenever I spent the night, I would wake up to find the breakfast table set and candles glowing. It was a party! Our morning conversations were filled with surprises appearing in our thoughts and moving us both beyond our ordinary thinking and there was always the sense that "others" were gathering around us to share in the party.
Who in your life gives parties that take place on the Threshold? Who invites you to come, not as you are, but as who you are becoming?
