The Sixth Holy Night:

At Home with Crises

The Sixth Holy Night:

At Home with Crises

Every crisis is a spiritual experience and an earthly turning point.

Yes, the Holy Nights and the clear presence of the Spiritual Beings call us to look at our relationship to being at home with crises.

Crises, breakdowns, losses, confusions, disorientations, dangers, and just plain disasters come our way throughout our lives.  These are the times we seek help, guidance, comfort, rescue from the Spiritual World.

But being at home with crises indicates that we can face them, transform them, grow from them, stay grounded during them and restore ourselves out of an inner maturity and on our own.

Often we don't realize how strong we have become, wise even.  By taking our spiritual companion through our home of crises, feeling the presence of compassion, we can see  our at homeness with our tough times and dramatic stories.

We will recognize our patterns of perseverance, endurance, courage, and balance.  We can see the ballast of our inner rituals that hold us steady in our rough seas.  We reveal the inner compass we use when we feel lost.  We hold up our scales of good judgment we use when weighing tough decisions. We point to the inner images that focus our gaze when the world starts spinning.

Tonight share with your spiritual companion, all your ways of managing the stress of incarnation and living in the struggles of space and time.

With the help of your companion you can make a list of what your resources are for moving through crises. Determine a sequence of questions or actions that will establish your home of crisis as a place of unfolding clarity and purpose. You will then know when to call out for spiritual strength, healing and guidance.

Make a collage, design a mandala, write a mantra for your times of crises.  These will help you relax into the crisis without collapsing or resisting. Imagine your home of crises a home of empowered, transformative flow.

Don't forget to use the attached guide with a number of suggested questions. It will help you go deeper into your feeling of at-homeness.
