12th Holy Night: Encountering Thou as Editor
Published: Sun, 01/05/14

Among the activities of the Holy Nights, we find the spiritual editing of our will forces for the coming earthly year. Spiritual editing works with the focus of the will, rather than the force of the will.
What have you manifested through your I will? Is it elegant, sublime, graceful, sufficient? Is it good? Does it serve?
An editor reveals what is unnecessary, unfitting, undeveloped, and misplaced. An editor fine tunes and points to needed finishing touches and rewrites. An editor serves by bringing wisdom and discernment to "what" is seeking manifestation.
Spiritual editing...does this scare you or comfort you or amaze you or humble you?
During our lives, we submit and surrender the manifestations of our will to the Thou as Editor. We are NOT submitting or surrendering our will!
The Thou of another does not seek to edit our will and is not capable of doing so. The Thou of another can never dominate, only serve with imagination, strength and compassion the expression of our will.
What Thou's have you encountered as Editors of what manifests in the world through your will? If you are feeling a big blank around recognizing your own manifest deeds, you will need to listen for a Thou as Namer. If you are afraid to say "Here is my deed," you need to call out first to Thou as Protector. If you haven't made it to your manifest destiny yet...maybe not even gotten started, seek out a Thou as Regulator.
But if you feel you have embodied your will in space and time or taken a significant step, now is the time for the spiritual editing a Thou as Editor can provide.
As I look in my life for my Editors, there are not many, but they have been "miracles." They have trimmed and tweaked, encouraged and expanded, poked and penetrated, admonished and admired what I have willed into existence. I am so grateful.
I recall with awe the early encounter with a Thou as an Editor that trimmed my manifesting efforts by saying: "Lynn, do that which only you can do. If anyone else can do even a mediocre job, let them do it." As Editor, he wanted only my true words, my true deeds to manifest through my will. He narrowed my will focus to what was necessary.
And another who suggested the exercise of bringing my unrestricted will to turning a doorknob as an exercise to strengthen my focus for what I manifest. A truly challenging edit to a mundane and ordinary deed... a Thou-edit to all that is willy-nilly and shilly-shally in my will.
There is no moral value in doing what another could do while neglecting your will-filled deed. Nor can the spiritual world notice or be nourished by anything haphazard.
Seek encounters with Thou's as Editors. What blessings.
Tomorrow I will bring share some thoughts for Epiphany and the gathering up of the encounters with Thou messages.
