  The Eighth Gift ~ Honor

In earthly measured time, 2012 began today. It's a new year. Begin this year by giving to yourself and receiving from yourself unconditional and total honor.

I've been sitting here at my laptop for at least 30 minutes, trying to articulate a definition for honor. Every definition, every synonym, feels inadequate for what I am feeling. I've even thought I should change the "gift" from honor to something easier to define. But the very difficulty that I am having tells me that there are beings wanting each of us to struggle with this inner deed of giving and receiving self-honor.

Now it comes...

Honor is the active recognition and embrace of holiness. Holiness is cosmic wholeness.

The human being reflects the Cosmos - you, my dear friend, are the Cosmos. Everything, every thing, exists in you and for you. You exist in everything. Without you there is no Cosmos. You are the Cosmic Human Being. You are holy.

Sink in to the Shepherd's heart and rise up to the King's head and seek the feeling of the Holy Nights and your own holiness. Honor yourself with the wisdom of the kings.  Receive the honoring with the humbleness of the shepherds.

Honor is not vague or global. It is conscious and specific. Here are a few examples which you may find surprising, even silly, but don't forget the Cosmos falls apart without Cosmic Humor.

None of the examples are foolish, they are humorous. Each is meant to help you get into the activity of honoring deeply and being honored. So read them, smile, read them again and feel the honoring.

 

Let your big toe give honor to your heart and vice versa. Let your feeling about truth honor your thought about what you are having for dinner tomorrow and vice versa. Let your imbalanced third eye honor your underdeveloped root chakra and vice versa. Let your eternal spirit honor the 150 million blood cells that will die this minute and vice versa. Let your sounding of O honor your seeing of blue and vice versa. It is all holy. You are holy.

Think of your breath, the inbreath receives, the outbreath gives. Breathe honor.

With each inbreath -- I receive.
In between -- I become
With each outbreath -- I give
In between -- I am

I open to receive.
I surrender to become.
I give freely.
I am love.
