The Pinching Ache of Inner Christmas.

Greetings! ,
Reflections, recollections, imaginations, contemplations, meditations, fascinations, questions, lots and lots of questions fill my thoughts throughout the year. And I love sharing my thoughts with friends.
Reflections, recollections, imaginations, contemplations, meditations, fascinations, questions, lots and lots of questions fill my thoughts throughout the year. And I love sharing my thoughts with friends.
There are lots of things, grand things and silly things, to think about on one's birthday - and it was my birthday just a few days ago - so I wanted share something special with you.
At sixty-three, wrinkles are a silly thing to think about, but aging, that's a grand thing. Of course, I thought about both - one as I gazed into the bathroom mirror and one when I gazed into my inner mirror! But I also thought about my life, and how "Inner Christmas" is now in its seventh year.
Sixty-three is a multiple of seven and we all know there is something to seven year cycles. Seven years ago on December 11, 2004, the day I turned fifty-six, I had no idea how my life would change in just a few days.
Ten days after my fifty-sixth birthday, I was in New York City Christmas shopping. I walked along Fifth Avenue to see all the fabulously decorated windows, feel the holiday energy/bustle/stress of all the shoppers, visit Rockefeller Plaza to look at the famous tree and finally, light a candle and say a prayer at St. Patrick's Cathedral. I had done the NYC "over-the-top" Christmas experience for many years. It was my "silly" tradition and this year it was going to give birth to the grandest tradition of my life, the yearly Inner Christmas messages.
There I was in the heart of tinseltown at the tinsel time of year. It felt great and made me smile, but in my heart of hearts was an ache, a pinching ache.
Pinching aches are the ones that painfully speak to us, "Think something new! Feel something new! Do something new! ONLY YOU CAN DO IT!" Haven't you had the same feeling at some time in your life?
I went home with my inner pinch and wrote an email to everyone on my contact list. I wrote about the need we all feel for a personal Inner Christmas and how that need can be fulfilled by the spiritual opportunity to celebrate the Twelve Holy Nights between Christmas and Epiphany. To my surprise, I made the commitment to send out daily reminders. The reminders turned into 12 inspirations and thoughtful questions for personal reflection. And I had no idea that so many people in so many places would find joy, comfort and meaning in my messages year after year.
Thank you for allowing me to share them with you. I now have almost 7000 subscribers! Many discovered me when I sent out The Inner Christmas Movie in December, 2006 to 200 people (before YouTube) and in three weeks 36000 had seen the film and thousands had subscribed to the messages.
The movie spoke to people's hearts. It helped many, whether actively Christian or on the margins of formal faith, and even some of other faiths, and at least one of none, recognize what we long for at Christmas beyond our traditions. It introduced them to a simpler, deeper more personal and heartfelt inner meaning at Christmas and over the 12 Holy Nights.
In the last few days, I've had people join the Inner Christmas mailing list from Bosnia, Kenya, Jordan, China and other countries. It amazes me. Does it amaze you to know that you will be sharing Inner Christmas with people from just about every country on the planet?
On the seventh anniversary of "Inner Christmas", having learned and shared so much more than I ever imagined, I have another pinching ache. I want more people than ever to share Inner Christmas with us. I am launching the Inner Christmas movie again. Would you help me to bring the warming thoughts and questions of "Inner Christmas" to more people by giving these inspiring messages as a gift to your friends and your family?
Imagine the feeling of knowing that 70000 other individuals, even more, are working with the Inner Christmas messages - a world-wide spiritual community renewing themselves and bringing new meaning to the Christmas Season. Help me grow the Inner Christmas list.
Together let's take the Inner Christmas Movie to the world.
It would mean so much to me, and from the feedback I have received, to so many who have discovered Inner Christmas, if you would share the Inner Christmas Movie with all the people you are connected with: your email contact list, your family, friends and colleagues, your Facebook friends, your twitter followers.
PLEASE cut and paste the link to the Inner Christmas movie into a new email, write a note about your experience of Inner Christmas and send it out to everyone today.

Rob's Email about the Inner Christmas Movie
P.S. I asked a good friend what he would write about his experience of Inner Christmas. Rob's words and feeling were pretty humbling for me to read but he insisted I include them in this request as an example for you. He even told me to let you know you could copy and paste all or part of them as if they were yours. So if you feel about Inner Christmas like Rob feels, you are welcome to use them.
