Three Adversaries to The Good Life

Published: Tue, 10/06/09

Dear ,
Just want to let you know that there is a new post on the Inner Year blog.  I share some thoughts on three adversaries opposing the living of a good life - procrastination, habit and minimalization.  Visit the blog here.

The teleseminar on Meeting Evil has begun but you can still join for the next three sessions.  Register here.  I will send you the recording and outline of session one so you can catch up.

One participant told me she had hesitated because evil is such an intense topic and the Inner Year teleseminars are quite challenging.  What convinced her to sign up was her realization that it is the challenges in life that have made her stronger and wiser.

The Inner Year teleseminars attract 25 to 75 participants.  Meeting Evil has only 8 participants! Is evil that scary? or uninteresting? or not seen as part of a path of inner development?

In the first session I addressed what I believe are the reasons we avoid conversations on evil that are not based on prejudice and dogma. I shared a clear definition of three forms of violence to human beings, violence to our resources and violence to the future.  I explore the relationship of evil to thoughts, feelings and actions.

The 2nd session, this coming Sunday, October 11, focuses on the victim/perpetrator bind.  In all my years as a counselor, I find over and over again that my clients are dealing with interpretations of these two roles. They are afraid of being a victim or a perpetrator.

I do feel this is such an important exploration that I am willing to send you the unedited recording of session one.  I am also willing to give those who are struggling financially, a big discount.  Just send me an email with your request.

My next post, early next week, will be a look at the ways we benefit from having conversations with spiritual beings.

Enjoy the Fall air,

Lynn
