Announcing the first Inner Christmas book: Celebrate Christmas! Celebrate You!

Published: Thu, 12/11/08

Dear ,

Do you feel all I feel? The growing moods of Christmas: joy, hope, love and gratitude. And the other shadow moods of anxiety, cynicism, and concern.  Christmas is a very complex yearly experience.

Over the last four years of Inner Christmas messages I have given considerable thought to the complexity of Christmas from the perspective of personal development and healing. I wanted to understand all that Christmas can give our souls.  What new meaning, clearer purpose, and deeper significance for our lives can we find during the season of Nativity?  What is special about Christmas? What is necessary about Christmas? How can we make Christmas an enriching inner experience?

Slowly answers came to my Christmas questions.  With the answers came new questions. With every question...answer...new question, Christmas became more alive in my soul.

I have gathered together the insights, imaginations, and inspirations of my Christmas questioning and written a book for you.

I am happy (more like utterly thrilled) to announce the online publication of

Celebrate Christmas! Celebrate You!
The Six Ways Your Soul Finds Meaning
During the Holidays
An Inner Christmas Book

I wrote this book as a guide to understanding, creating and celebrating the fulness of Christmas and the fulness of your soul. Celebrate Christmas! Celebrate You! inspires the merriest and the most meaningful Christmas.

The 2008 Inner Christmas theme is

"Twelve Essential Needs of the Soul."

This theme came to me in February which was surprising as I don't usually know the yearly Inner Christmas theme until late November or early December. When the economic crisis appeared in September, I was stunned at the appropriateness of working with "essential needs" during the Twelve Holy Nights.  As the soul bridges between spirit and matter, the messages will help all of us recognize and evaluate our soul needs and how we spiritually and practically provide for ourselves.

I will be sending an email to you next week:  I have a new video to share with you, some creative thoughts on preparing for your Inner Christmas, and more thoughts on the theme, 12 Essential Needs of the Soul.

Please forward this message to all your friends and family. They can join you in celebrating Inner Christmas by signing up for the 12 daily email messages at www.InnerChristmas.com.

PS  I just gave a talk at the Association for Spirituality and Psychotherapy here in NYC.  I spoke about the therapeutic opportunities of the holidays.  Christmastime seems to open up our souls to a tender vulnerability and a willingness to give birth to deeper self-awareness and self-healing. I know of no training for therapists on working with this psychospiritual possibility and plan to develop and offer one this year.  If you are a therapist or a coach, you will want to participate in this training.
