The Soul's Celebration of May from the Inner Year
Published: Tue, 05/06/08
Ten days ago I participated in a fascinating seminar on neuroscience. All of the attendees work with balancing the neurotransmitters like serotonin, epinephrine, dopamine, etc. After three hours of incredibly exciting material on supporting healthy, harmonious brain chemistry, I spoke with several integrative healers, MD's, DC's, nutritionists, etc about the dynamic role of the cycle of the year in the feeling and function of our neurochemistry. Everyone agreed and showed interest in my Inner Year work.

May, in the Northern Hemisphere, is the month of joyful blooming. In the calendar of our souls it is the time of unconditional love and intimate community. In the Christian festivals it is the time of Whitsun or Pentecost when the Holy Spirit brought the gift of universal understanding or knowing of one another.
If we embrace May's possibility for our souls , we can explore
feeling the truth of another human being. Just like we feel
"moved" by the beauty of the flowers of Maytime, we can be moved by what we see in another's soul in late Spring. May invites your soul to be truly social.
The Inner Year blog offers my suggestions for the social soulwork for May. See the opportunities for opening your heart to what lives in another. Be creative and have fun loving others.

I will send my next blog posting at the Summer Solstice and the
festival of St Johnstide.
Bloom fully,
