Your Inner Christmas Journey is primarily a personal and private Holy Ritual of Selfhood. The Inner Christmas Journey Calendar is also (mostly)personal.
Inspired by the Christian Liturgical Calendar of Holy Days and Seasons, I have designed a nurturing structure and guiding process for you to focus on the yearly mystery of Selfhood, your unique experience of your evolving,
emerging soul/spirit.
ICJ is not a social or a religious ritual. It is profoundly spiritual and personal. It is self-referring reverence for all that you have been, are now, and will
become.
The ICJ Zoom calls are an opportunity to co-inspire and co-revere this Celebration of Self. They are the social and participatory experience of the Inner Christmas Journey. Your
presence is desired and welcome, but not required.
When and where you do this inner work is up to you.
Inner Advent is not necessarily a Sunday activity although you may choose to work with the Modules on Sundays. The right timing for you is what matters.
When Does Inner Advent Begin?
In the 2023 Christian Liturgical Calendar, the First Sunday of Advent is December 3, the fourth Sunday before
Christmas Day. This means the Last Sunday of Advent is Christmas Eve.
But for Inner Advent, I want to leave time for Solstice Consciousness so I am beginning the Inner Christmas Journey on
this Sunday.
For me, the days between the Solstice and Christmas are days of experiencing inner stillness and emptiness. Oh, I never have 72 hours of Solstice Consciousness, but I find just an
hour each day creates a tender readiness for the Holy Nights. The stillness softens me and the emptiness opens me.
About Calendars and Inner Rituals
There are other calendars regarding personal and spiritual ritual days. Sometimes I find myself celebrating a Cosmic calendar, other times the beauty of the Druid Calendar nurtures my soul. And there are so many other religious calendars that inspire our spiritual life. What is your calendar of holy days? Christmas and Easter fall
on different days for different reasons. Does the day of the week or the date of the day matter when we do our own inner work?
For Inner Advent, I suggest that we undertake Inner Advent anytime between November 26
and the Solstice. The four modules of Inner Advent can be worked with in whatever rhythm that works for you. I find having a few nights sleep in between each module can be very deepening.
Remember that
Inner Advent is about resolving your inner year and preparing for the Holy Nights. It is personal. Do not feel you need to conform to a social or religious expectation when working with the Inner Advent modules.
The Inner Advent Zoom Conversations happen every Tuesday at 5 PM Eastern and Saturday at 1 PM Eastern between November 28 and December 23. Attendance is optional.
The Holy Night and Our Soul's Calendar
Angels don’t have a calendar, but our souls do when it comes to the Holy Nights. Our souls bridge our earthly lives in space and time and the infinite and eternal world of Spirit. Every year between dusk on December 25th and dawn on January
6th the veils lifts in our souls, the bridge is seen, and we can receive revealing and renewing inspirations. The messages I write are invitations to go beyond the veils, cross the bridge, and embrace the inspirations.
Inner Epiphany
Inner Epiphany like Inner Advent is a combination of the Inner Timing and Solitude of the Self and the scheduled Social Love of connecting and sharing on Zoom.
I hope you feel in your soul the longing to inwardly travel the Inner Christmas Journey.
