Happy Thanksgiving!
I've been thinking a lot about the meaning of capacity and the ability to grow my capacity. The root of capacity is Latin "capere" which means "to take hold."
The dictionary definition of capacity I want to focus on is "the ability or power to do, experience, or understand something." I want to grow my capacity to experience, understand, love, and nurture Self, Other, and Spirit.
If you have the time or when you
find/make the time, sit with your journal and contemplate the capacities you want to grow. Make a list, then pick the top three and send me an email.
Because it is Thanksgiving here in the States, today and tomorrow I am going to spend some of my precious time growing my capacities
for feeling gratitude and expressing gratitude.
Do you have any idea of how grateful I am for you reading my emails? Because of you, I persevere in my spiritual
research. I work so hard to find the right language to share the Inspirations that emerge in my soul. Your reading this email nourishes and encourages my soul. Thank you.
You are a part of the
Imagine Self community. My emails are read by 1200-1500 individuals around the world. We are all contemplating the same inspirations, each in our own way. Doesn't that warm and enliven your heart?
Three Gratitude Exercises
I shared these three exercises around gratitude in an earlier email. I wanted to share them again in relationship to growing our capacity for gratitude.
First, I would be grateful for all the things I have always been grateful for. Actually, just 3 things...quality over quantity.
Second, I would go deep and be grateful for 3 things I have never been grateful for before. I’d surprise myself.
Third, I would imagine 3 things I will experience in the coming year that will fill me with gratitude.
Your Capacities & The Inner Christmas
Journey
The Inner Christmas Journey supports us in growing our capacities to know ourselves, to experience the mystery of the Holy Nights, and to direct our futures.
The theme for this year's messages will encourage us to grow our capacity to directly experience our individual relationship to the Four Great Archangels: Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, and Michael.
