If you are on my list, you are aware of your inner life. You have longings, questions, hopes, strivings, aspirations, dreams. You may be religious or
not, but you wonder about things that are beyond the physical and the perceptible and the controlled.
The Inner Christmas Journey is about your inner life. Only you will take this journey and what you will find on this journey is unique to you.
There will be the opportunity for you to gather with others who are on their own journey. In these zoom gatherings, we will share our questions about our journeys and our experiences of comfort, enlightenment,
and transformation.
Recently, I felt the need to clarify four desires or needs that live in our spiritual lives. If you enroll in the Inner Christmas Journey you
will find it valuable to contemplate and recognize your own goals, practice, journey, and quest.
Please share your response with me. I want to know if you find this supports your inner life
during Christmas and any other time of year.
Four Spiritual Desires and Needs
A Spiritual Goal:
A spiritual goal is a specific objective or aspiration that one sets in the realm of spirituality or inner growth. It represents a desired state of being, a level of consciousness, or a connection to the Divine that a person seeks to attain through their spiritual pursuits. Spiritual goals can vary widely from person to person and may include goals like achieving inner peace,
self-realization, enlightenment, deepening one's connection with a higher power, or living a life in alignment with one's values and principles. These goals often serve as a guiding light in one's spiritual journey.
What are your inner goals for this Christmas?
The Inner Christmas Journey does not require you to know your spiritual goals, you may want to be surprised by the spiritual gifts you receive.
A Spiritual Practice:
A spiritual practice is a ritual or set of activities that individuals engage in to nurture their spiritual well-being and achieve their
spiritual goals. These practices are designed to foster a deeper connection with oneself, others, and the divine, depending on one's beliefs. Spiritual practices can encompass a wide range of activities, such as meditation, prayer, yoga, mindfulness, worship, contemplation, chanting, acts of kindness, and more. These practices are often deeply personal and serve as tools to develop self-awareness, inner peace, and a sense of purpose.

A Spiritual Journey:
A spiritual journey is a broader concept that encompasses the entire process of personal transformation and growth through spiritual stages and steps.
It is the ongoing path or trajectory that individuals follow as they seek to radically deepen their understanding of the self and the spirit, transcend the familiar, and connect with the gifts of higher purpose or power. You follow the maps of the journey trusting you will arrive at greater self-realization and a stronger spiritual connection. Understanding each year as an inner journey following the sun and the festivals of your spiritual beliefs offers beautiful guidance.

A Spiritual Quest:
A spiritual quest is a more intense, profound, and mysterious form of a spiritual journey. It often implies a search for profound answers or a higher truth, revealing more clarity of beauty and more unselfish offer of goodness. Spiritual quests may
be characterized by a deep sense of purpose and a strong desire for spiritual enlightenment. A spiritual quest almost always requires being lost, alone, knowing hunger, and facing inner threats. The term "quest" suggests a more deliberate, intentional, and sometimes arduous effort to explore and discover profound spiritual truths.
The Inner Christmas Journey supports you in your quests for profound personal and spiritual meaning, inspiration, and purpose.
In summary
A spiritual goal represents a specific desired outcome, a spiritual practice is a routine or activity to nurture one's spirituality, a spiritual journey is the ongoing process of spiritual growth and exploration, and a spiritual quest is a more intense and intentional search for profound spiritual truths often involving extraordinary efforts. These concepts are interrelated and can vary greatly from
person to person based on individual beliefs, values, and experiences.
As a spiritual design for goals, practice, journey, or quest, the Inner Christmas Journey empowers you, nurtures you, and
guides you in freedom.
