Each Holy Night you enter into the mood of the spiritual heart. You find inner light shining in the holy night guiding you to new freedom and new love. Your selfhood expands spiritually and creatively.

Inner Christmas is a spiritual practice offering the development and enrichment of your humanity and your individuality. You become more conscious and more compassionate. Every year, during the 12 Holy Nights you practice opening up to the mysteries of the Holy Nights when spiritual realities embrace earthly consciousness and our experience
of selfhood is nourished and strengthened.

You cannot be passive during the Holy Nights. You must bring an active soul eager to engage with the Spiritual World in moments of great and powerful tenderness. You must bring a gentle humor and nuanced awe. The Holy Nights are poetic and luminous and
flowing.

The Messages are like an inspired path or stairway lifting you up to new imaginations.

I write these messages in the gesture of soul-questioning. I realized years ago that the spiritual world only responds to questions: humble, wisdom-seeking questions. The spiritual world cannot directly engage with something we know or believe. It cannot penetrate when our intellect or our spiritual uncertainty or
our dependence on the words of others overtake our trust in the ever-present beings of the spiritual world. We give our open devotion and receive imaginations, inspirations and intuition beyond our earthly sense of "right answers."The Inner Christmas Messages are meant to inspire your soul-questions.

Hopefully, you have already started wondering (yes, wondering is the central mood of the Holy Nights!) about pre-birth promises, this year’s theme. I will be writing more on my insights into pre-birth promises, but don’t make me the expert, or the guru.  Let me be your spiritual friend on this very special spiritual playground. And
please be my spiritual friend. Meet me on the spiritual playground of the Holy Nights.

I can see the Holy Nights as spiritual swings.  Each night, each message swings between the sacred and the practical. Each swings between how we see our kernel of the divine and how we see the kernel of the divine in all others. We swing between spirit and matter and between self and other.

This year I will include a “worksheet” for you to use to find your inspirations. Here are the sections on the worksheet:
Initial thoughts…Most comforting phrase or sentence…Most challenging phrase or sentence…My questions…What I would add?…What inspiration will I take into the new year and the rest of my life?…. and more!
