The theme for this year’s Inner Christmas Messages is the 12 Living Gifts of Sweetness.
Like the honey of bees or the shine of gold, spiritual sweetness never decays or dulls.
During our moments at the Threshold we can receive gifts of spiritual sweetness. Spiritual sweetness lives in three elements:
DIVINE WISDOM
DIVINE FREEDOM
DIVINE LOVE
For the 2022/23 Holy Nights, I will be sharing imaginations of the Spiritual
Sweetness that lives in each of the four senses of incarnation or embodied selfhood:
TOUCH
WELL-BEING
SELF-MOVEMENT
BALANCE
Your perceptions of the four senses of incarnation are unique to
you. They give you your sense of embodiment. No one else lives in your body! Nor do you live in anyone else’s body. These senses provide us with embodied individuality, the presence in space and time of “ME.”
Spiritual Beings do not have these embodiment perceptions the way we earthly beings do. Can you imagine this? We anthropomorphize angels, archangels, and the other spiritual hierarchies and “see” them as human beings with wings, but they are not embodied like us! Spiritual beings do not experience limiting boundaries and containment through touch, hunger and threat
and suffering through well-being, distinct gestures and changing horizons through self-movement, nor gravity, levity, vertigo, or falling through balance.
As
we contemplate how our earthy reality of self through these four senses can be mirrors of divine wisdom, divine freedom, and divine love over the twelve Holy Nights, we will begin to imagine the intention of the creator-gods, the Elohim, when they breathed into us self-awareness.
In 2022, I designed and offered the program, Beyond 63 - Right Aging, Blessed Dying, and the Mysteries Beyond the Threshold. In old age, we find our earthly perceptions of touch, well-being, self-movement, and balance telling us we are old and dying to this lifetime. If, through these senses, we have awakened inner wisdom, inner
freedom, and inner love, we approach death with a more beautiful and richer awareness of Self as Spirit-Becoming.
During the Holy Nights, we are invited to the Threshold to receive the Gifts of Sweetness: Divine Wisdom, Divine Freedom, and Divine Love. This year we will receive these gifts through our four senses of embodied Selfhood.
We will contemplate each sense over three messages. The first message will look at the sweet gift of divine wisdom living in the sense. The second message will contemplate divine freedom. And the third message will contemplate divine love.
At the end of the Holy Nights, each of us will have a new awareness and a new understanding of the four senses of embodied self and why they are sweet gifts from the gods. We will know the sweetness of I no matter how much bitterness lives in our life stories. We will have
awakened the fifth sense of self…sweetness.
