Dearest, Sweet Friend, 

I just bought my Advent Wreath. This Sunday I will light the first candle and place a few stones in the greens the represent the Mineral Kingdom. I love the tradition of the Advent Wreath even more that the Christmas Tree. Each candle and each of the symbols of the four kingdoms of creation reminds me to contemplate the relationship between spirit and matter. This is my beautiful Outer Advent.

In this note I want to speak about Inner Advent and the meaning of I.

In Beyond 63 Imagining Right Aging, Blessed Dying and the Great Mysteries Beyond the Threshold, I shared that the first task was to contemplate LIFE SO FAR as if you were revealing it to your Angel. 

I said this life review was not about REMEMBERING. Gathering a list of life memories, a scrapbook of events and deeds and faces and feelings will not be of interest to your Angel. Angels don’t understand memories. 

I said that we must REFLECT. Remembering tells stories. Reflecting reveals meaning. Our Angels are only interested in the meaning of our lives.

Memories are about “me.” Meaning is about “I.”

Memories can be bitter. Meaning is always SWEET.

INNER ADVENT is a guided process for releasing memories and embracing meaning.   We focus on the mystery of the meanings of I that emerged over the year. 

So what is a guided process? Why do we need one? A guided process offers efficiency, elegance, success & support for sorting and sifting through the complexity of memories and finding the sweet honey of meaning. 

Without a guiding process, it is so easy to get lost, distracted, discouraged, and delayed. We can give up or postpone to next year. We don’t get the practice of distinguishing meaning from memories. We aren’t prepared for the Holy Nights.

Your Inner Advent is your preparation for the Journey through the Holy NIghts Holy Nights.

After 30+ years of spiritual research into the mysteries of Selfhood, I can promise you that the entire Inner Christmas Journey will be full of meaning, blessings, and epiphanies about who you are when you say “I”.

The Journey begins with Inner Advent and our recollection, review, reflection, and release of 2022  creating the open vessel to receive the gifts of the Holy Nights. There are two Inner Advent programs: My Year of Light and My Year of Darkness. Both reveal the meaning of your Inner Year through four inspiring modules. 

The heart of the Inner Christmas Journey are the Twelve Messages. This year blesses us with the 12 Sweet Gifts shared in the daily messages from the Threshold. 

Following the Holy Nights, we enter Inner Epiphany. We awaken in our souls the four epiphanies, each offering an awareness of how we nurture and manifest our destinies in 2023. 

Although we undertake the Inner Christmas Journey in the sacredness of our own solitude, we have the option to gather together over Zoom. What I love the most is the sweetness of the community that comes together over our zoom calls which happen every few days. We share our experiences, ask questions, and inspire each other.
