Dearest Friends,
Christmas is just six weeks away. The deep mysteries of the Holy Nights begin in 42 days. How are you feeling about these yearly spiritual realities? What are your questions about the Holy Nights?
Here a some questions I revisit every year. Every year each question brings me to a new understanding.
- Why do the Holy Nights exist?
- What and where is the threshold between earthly realities and spiritual realities?
- What are the veils that lift during the Holy Nights?
- How do I prepare for the Holy Nights?
- Can we find words to describe and tell stories about the Holy Nights?
- Do the Holy Nights change anything?
- What happens if the Holy Nights are forgotten?
- What if you only celebrate the Holy Nights for 3 or 4 nights and then you forget?
- How do these nights work?
- What makes them different?
- Why twelve, or is it thirteen or fourteen?
- Is the imagination of the Holy Nights limited to religious beliefs, Christian beliefs?
- Are the Holy Nights of Christmas connected to the Holy Week of Easter?

Let’s dive into these questions! Let’s share our feelings and our practices! Let’s look at what distracts us from the Holy Nights? What challenges us? How to prepare for the Holy Nights. What to do during the Holy Nights. How we might carry what we experience during the Holy Nights into the future.
In my quest, I have discerned five different ways to experience the Holy Nights. Can you imagine what they are? I will share these five different ways and what makes them different and how they compliment each other.
My Holy Nights Path
35 years ago as a Waldorf parent, I first heard of these mysterious Holy Nights. I loved this imagination from the start, but finding my way into the Holy Nights took 17 very spiritually frustrating years. I couldn’t find my way.
Then on December 22, 2004, I stopped thinking about myself and my Holy Nights’ experience.I thought of others. Inspired I sent an email to everyone one of my gmail contacts saying I would send them a Holy Nights’ reminder every day from Christmas through Epiphany. That was the beginning of the Inner Christmas Messages. I have now written 238 Inner Christmas
Messages.
The Messages have turned into the Inner Christmas Journey from Inner Advent through Inner Epiphany, the inner journey from the meanings found in this year to the imagined purposes of next year, and the divine bridge of inspirations that crosses between them.
In the zoom call I will share a bit about the Inner Christmas Journey and how much I love guiding, encouraging and supporting others in this work of the Inner Year.
Your yearly Inner Christmas Journey is a quest! A quest that will quicken and renew your soul’s warmth, light, tone, and lifeforce. The journey will bless you with self-wisdom and world-wisdom. You will fill your thinking, feeling, and willing with more freedom and more love. You will be bathed in the luminous attention of the spiritual world.
Your Inner Christmas is not about believing or obeying. It is about experiencing in freedom with love who you are and who you are becoming.
