January 1, 2020
Dear Friend,
I wish you a year of fulfilling your meaning and purpose. I hope you are blessed with safety, calmness, wakefulness and nourishment to give you inner freedom. May your light illuminate, your warmth radiate, your tone resonate, and your lifeforce generate all the love you can imagine. You deserve all this. If you doubt that you deserve these blessings, please, email or call me to set up a time for a sacred conversation.
I am designing a challenging year of movement and focused intention for myself in contribution but you may need 2020 to be a year of restoration, grounding and centering. This may be a year of "yes" for you or a year of "no." You may expand or you may contract.

Your 2020 Intentions
for the First Season of the Year
|
There is nothing in your inner life that wouldn't benefit from you writing an inner declaration of intentions. You make a declaration of commitment to your full expression of self in each of the four areas of meaning and purpose. It brings together your thoughts and your feelings and points you in a direction of actions that are personally, morally and spiritually meaningful. You make your contributions, your
relationships, your well-being and your inner development manifest through intentional thought, word and deed. You create an inspired set of aims and goals. You enliven your will.
What do you commit to in each quadrant of meaning and purpose this season? How will it manifest week by week (13 stages). Sit down, reflect, meditate, imagine, and write your seasonal inner intentions. You may recognize a need to imagine rest in one quadrant and get more active in another.
You will notice that you may imagine something new or continue an ongoing behavior, or you may resume something you did in the past.
If you are artistic, you can bring creative expression to your declaration. After you have written down your needs and goals, you can create a collage, write a poem, compose a tune, make it beautiful and full of feeling.
Suggestions for your Inner Declaration Process
These are REAL intentions, not dreams. Keep this to a doable number. You will have thirteen weeks. Design them for success. Know that this is an exciting and creative way to find, know and become yourself.
Then just read my guidelines here. First, take time doing this. Perhaps you will give this process the first week of the season. Go to sleep each night with the thought "What are my seasonal intentions?" When you wake up in the morning ask the question again and during the day you will find surprising intentions coming into your thoughts. Capture them in your journal and write down your responses to the
following:
WHAT: What is the successful result/manifestation? What do you want to feel when this intention is manifest?
HOW: How will you accomplish your intention - plan, initiate, execute and complete? Be realistic. How will you celebrate?
WHY: Why is this intention important?
WHO: Who else - whose help and support do you need? Will you seek a wise and compassionate mentor, friend, counselor to support your process and hold you accountable to your intention?
Be practical and don't fantasize. This is an investment in your selfhood. It will take a commitment of time, energy, focus and, possibly, money. You and who you are becoming is worth all this. But it is very important that you budget and not deprive or indulge. (If you haven't paid attention to budgeting time, money, attention, emotion, selfcare, othercare, etc. you might want to make understanding your relationship to budgeting part of your self-awareness!)
Be truthful. A declaration is an expression of yourself. Tell your truth. do not overestimate or underestimate.
Make it Poetic and Sensuous
Bring poetry to each intention. After you have don't all the hard work of clarifying your intentions in each quadrant and have written down all your insights, imagine a word or three for each intention (don't worry over this...play, risk, crystalize). Or instead of a word...find a quote or several quotes to inspire you. Or write a poem.
Choose some music, create a playlist, to play when you are focusing on a quadrant. What about an essential oil to put you in the right mood. What special tea connects to each quadrant. Support yourself with your senses.
Do you have creative ways to encourage manifesting your intentions?
