ADVENT IS UPON US!

Imagine the day growing dark and no lights are on in the room. It's quiet, almost still and so is your breathing. Your soul begins to hear faint distant music that calms your heart and calls you to a reverent attention. There is a candle to light and an image to be revealed. The mood of Advent has arrived once again in the cycle of the year inviting you to a beautiful preparation for Christmas and the Holy Nights.

The anticipatory mood of Advent bears paradox as it alerts us to both ending and beginning. Consciously end the old year, so you can consciously begin the new year.

Traditional Advent, shaped by the Church and incorporating ancient pagan practices, focuses on the coming of the celebration of Christmas and the birth of Jesus - it awakens feeling for the story of the event in Bethlehem so long ago.

Inner Advent, for the modern, self-seeking soul, guides you through a creative and compassionate recollecting, reviewing of your life over the previous 50 weeks making you aware of your process of inner development. It brings you to a more conscious relationship to yourself.  You look back to see forward. Inner Advent focuses you on preparing for the birth of a new self through the sacred mysteries of the Holy Nights. It prepares you for the active celebration of your Inner Christmas.

A Gift for You!

I have a gift for you.  Click here and you will find an audio bringing you a creative and compassionate invitation to deeply experience both Traditional and Inner Advent.

This audio includes suggestions for several enriching ways to let the mood of Advent be active and meaningful. Enjoy it.

And do sign up for Inner Advent - it will bring real clarity to the meaning, significance, and purpose of how your life unfolded during the year.  BTW, if you had a "bad," "difficult," or "sh^tty" year, Inner Advent will help you see through the intense challenges and connect with a part of yourself that transcends the suffering and reveals and restores a centered and calming self-compassion.

Here are the resources I offer you to support your inner work this
Autumn and every season.

My blogposts: usually 2-3 a month. Like this one, I offer insights
and questions for your inner work.

The Imagine Self courses:
I offer a number of courses throughout the year
to support you in finding, knowing and becoming yourself.

Finally, the most intimate and transformative resource I offer is
my Sacred Conversations work. Obviously, only a few can benefit
from this as I only schedule 10-12 conversations a week.  See
below, for more information about this amazing one-to-one work.

Lately I have been asked by a number of my readers, if I do live
workshops.
Yes, I do, but I do not organize them - you do.  You can
consider inviting me to do a weekend workshop for you and your
friends, your organization, or your community.  This can be as
relaxed as a gathering of 5-10 of your friends in your living room,
or as demanding as 300 people in a conference center.  I can give a
workshop on any aspect of Imagine Self, on any topic I've written
about in a blogpost, or any question, concern, or goal you hold in
your heart.  Just contact me and let's have a conversation about
the possibility.

Would Sacred Listening Make a Difference?
Is This What You Need Now?

The first thing that must be established in a sacred conversation is a core sense of safety. You need to feel you can tell your truth and not be judged or critiqued, that your truth is respected and held sacred.

Are you living with questions about who you are and what you should be doing? Do you seek to find what meaning lives in your sorrows, struggles and suffering? Do you wonder how to develop a new relationship to your life so far that opens up desirable possibilities for your life to come?

Do you want to approach your life from an understanding of resolving your karma and fulfilling your destiny?

You may want to give yourself the gift of personal coaching or counseling.  A good counselor will provide the elements of warmth, containment, encouragement and creative review and reflection.  Each of us needs a rhythm of sacred conversations centered on our own path of self-development. If you would like to have one or more sacred conversations with me, please schedule your f^r^ee 20 minute Listening conversation here. Tell me who you are and what you are seeking.
