Finding the Good Fit of Your Inner Misfit.

I am on the train between Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. The sky and water are gray, the landscape a dull, dark green...beautifully autumnal, kind of cozy and soothing, contemplative and restful.

I'm thinking about my new online, self-guided course, Imagining Your Inner Misfit, and how wildly essential it is to finding, knowing, and becoming yourself.  Why? Self-awareness is not about picking and choosing the easy to know parts of self.  It's the whole kit-n-caboodle of self - the good, the bad, the ugly - the good fit, the bad fit, the misfit.

Whether you are working with your meditative life, facing relationship issues, considering your purpose in the world, dealing with addictions, ill health, depression, or just committed to self-knowledge, you will need to lift the veils on the parts of you that you resist, deny, minimize, glorify or humiliate.   Otherwise the misfitting parts of yourself will be the obstacles that keep you from the goals you seek and  the truth, beauty, and goodness of your sense of self.

Imagining Your Inner Misfit is a guide that encourages, focuses, strengthens, and celebrates your ability to discern, describe, transform and embrace what has felt too challenging to know about yourself.

The benefit is the surprise that once at the heart of your inner misfit, you find the sleeping princess, the pot of gold, the treasure of your Self.

And here is the real benefit, when you love/know all of yourself, you love others with a deep compassion and the world is better for everyone.

Imagining Your Inner Misfit
will provide you with inspirations, perspectives, and questions to guide you to this grounded, very real, trasformative self-understanding.  It will take just a couple of hours of your life to open up your heart for the rest of your life.

Here are the resources I offer you to support your inner work this
Autumn and every season.

My blogposts: usually 2-3 a month. Like this one, I offer insights
and questions for your inner work.

The Imagine Self courses:
I offer a number of courses throughout the year
to support you in finding, knowing and becoming yourself.

Finally, the most intimate and transformative resource I offer is
my Sacred Conversations work. Obviously, only a few can benefit
from this as I only schedule 10-12 conversations a week.  See
below, for more information about this amazing one-to-one work.

Lately I have been asked by a number of my readers, if I do live
workshops.
Yes, I do, but I do not organize them - you do.  You can
consider inviting me to do a weekend workshop for you and your
friends, your organization, or your community.  This can be as
relaxed as a gathering of 5-10 of your friends in your living room,
or as demanding as 300 people in a conference center.  I can give a
workshop on any aspect of Imagine Self, on any topic I've written
about in a blogpost, or any question, concern, or goal you hold in
your heart.  Just contact me and let's have a conversation about
the possibility.

Would Sacred Listening Make a Difference?
Is This What You Need Now?

The first thing that must be established in a sacred conversation is a core sense of safety. You need to feel you can tell your truth and not be judged or critiqued, that your truth is respected and held sacred.

Are you living with questions about who you are and what you should be doing? Do you seek to find what meaning lives in your sorrows, struggles and suffering? Do you wonder how to develop a new relationship to your life so far that opens up desirable possibilities for your life to come?

Do you want to approach your life from an understanding of resolving your karma and fulfilling your destiny?

You may want to give yourself the gift of personal coaching or counseling.  A good counselor will provide the elements of warmth, containment, encouragement and creative review and reflection.  Each of us needs a rhythm of sacred conversations centered on our own path of self-development. If you would like to have one or more sacred conversations with me, please schedule your f^r^ee 20 minute Listening conversation here. Tell me who you are and what you are seeking.
