2013 is the IMAGINE SELF
Year of the Autobiographical Self
featuring
Live & Interactive INNER LIFE Programs
The sense of self begins with a coherent, cohesive imagination of personal history.
Illuminate your past.
Begin with Karmic Relationships
About ten years ago, I was sitting with a good friend in her kitchen talking about great things and working through our questions about life, work, and love.
If you have been on my list and especially if you have taken any of my Imagine Self programs, you know I don't do small talk and appearances very well. I want to know what is real. Everything I give my attention to is worthy of deep wonder, serious work, and good humor.
Nothing draws my attention more than a question from a another seeking individual. A good question juices up my wondering and starts me working -- diving deep, climbing high, and circling.
All the diving, climbing, and circling is about getting into the right relationship, finding the particular perspective, that let's me see a bit of the truth, occasionally a whole lot of OMG truth. It's as if the archetype starts speaking to me and I listen. This only happens because a question has been asked.
This particular conversation, and I can see us sitting at her table with the afternoon light opening up the space between us, turned toward her lovers and why she had engaged in the relationships.
Now how many times since I was about nine have I had this kind of girlfriend talk -- is it not the number one mystery topic? But this became a serious and heartfelt inquiry and an OMG conversation, all the wondering and working on relationships over all the years had finally brought me to the language of the archetype.
I shared the insight with my dear friend, and, inspired, we both applied it to our lovers and it worked. We were able to see the karmic purpose of each relationship. Each of us found an autobiographical awakening and released a long smiling sigh of personal wisdom.
Quickly, I saw that the archetype applied to all relationships, not just the romantic ones.
By karma, I am not referring to backstory and other lifetimes. Karma is the lesson, the reason for the current drama, which once recognized becomes the liberating resolution.
Since that conversation a decade ago, I have wanted to offer a workshop on karmic relationships. Let me invite you to participate.

Would Sacred Listening Make a Difference?
Is This What You Need Now?
The first thing that must be established in a sacred
conversation is a core sense of safety. You need to feel you can tell
your truth and not be judged or critiqued, that your truth is respected
and held sacred.
Are you living with questions about who you are and
what you should be doing? Do you seek to find what meaning lives in
your sorrows, struggles and suffering? Do you wonder how to develop a
new relationship to your life so far that opens up desirable
possibilities for your life to come?
Do you want to approach your life from an understanding of resolving your karma and fulfilling your destiny?
You may want to
give yourself the gift of personal coaching or counseling. A good
counselor will provide the elements of warmth, containment,
encouragement and creative review and reflection. Each of us needs a
rhythm of sacred conversations centered on our own path of
self-development. If you would like to have one or more sacred conversations with me, please schedule your fr^ee 20 minute Listening conversation here. Tell me who you are and what you are seeking.
